Madison United Rugby (MUR) is home to four Senior clubs. Senior rugby encompasses all non-collegiate adult rugby. MUR is supports Men's, Women's, and age level clubs that compete across a variety of competitive divisions and social tournaments

Founded in 1975, our team is one of the nation’s oldest women’s rugby teams and plays competitively in the Wisconsin, Midwest and USA Rugby unions. The Mighty Wisconsin Rugby Club was established in 1962. From the onset, the WRC founders invested in the foundation of American rugby. The WRC won its first USA Rugby National Championship in 1998, followed by recent championship runs in 2008 settling at 3rd place, runner up in 2012, National Championship in 2013, and runner up in 2015. New players are welcome to join!

The Old Boys rugby team (affectionately known as the Very Old Men, Idiots and Twits aka V.O.M.I.T.s) plays a social calendar throughout the year, including tours (rugby and pubs) both domestic and international. The Old Boys are predominantly alumni of the UW-Madison Men and the Wisconsin Rugby Club, but welcome new players of all levels, backgrounds and alumni affiliations.
